Matières & Savoir-faire : l’histoire de Nathael

Our materials

Natural materials, at the heart of our collections

At Nathael, each piece is designed to last, endure the seasons, and live by your side with ease. And that starts with an essential choice: that of materials. We strive to select as many natural or naturally sourced fibers as possible, both for their quality, their comfort... and for their reduced impact on the planet.

Our choices are never made at random. Each fiber selected meets a requirement for comfort, ethics, and quality. We seek partners who share our values and favor sustainable, certified, or low-impact materials whenever possible.

By using natural or naturally sourced materials as much as possible, we aim to offer a wardrobe that makes sense, that respects your skin, and that also respects the planet a little more. Because for us, a garment is not just about its style. It is a reflection of know-how, commitment, and a certain art of living.

We believe in materials that tell a story, those that evolve beautifully over time, that breathe, and that provide that unique feeling of well-being. That's why you'll find fibers like:

  • Alpaca: a precious, warm and light wool, renowned for its softness and durability.
  • Wool: a breathable, insulating and durable material, ideal for cooler seasons.
  • Cotton: a soft, breathable, easy-care natural fiber that we love for its versatility.
  • Linen: a noble and vibrant material, with a fresh feel, perfect for sunny days.
  • Angora (rabbit): used with care and transparency, for its incomparable warmth and finesse.
  • Lyocell (or Tencel): an eco-responsible alternative to viscose, made from wood pulp using a clean process.
  • Viscose: a fluid and pleasant material, of plant origin (cellulose), which we choose with care.

Why is polyester still present in some of our collections?

Polyester is a fiber valued for its strength, ease of care, and affordability. At Nathael, we strive to limit its use as much as possible. However, for certain creations, particularly our skirts, its use remains essential to ensure the desired volume and structure.

Our ambition is to offer sustainable and responsible fashion, while remaining accessible. That's why our teams strive every day to favor more natural alternatives, without ever compromising the quality, style, or fair price of our pieces.
